Mobile Healthcare, commonly known as Community Paramedicine, is a form of community-based healthcare that allows specially trained Paramedics to function in expanded roles as primary care extenders, educators and patient advocates for underserved and high risk patients.
Unlike healthcare in the traditional setting, Mobile Healthcare is offered in an alternative practice setting, usually in the patient’s home, and has proven to be a more cost-effective and efficient method of delivering patient care.
MedEx’s Mobile Healthcare solution can help reduce unnecessary emergency room visits and hospital readmissions, improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, and decrease burdensome costs for the patient and healthcare organizations.
Our team is equipped with all the tools necessary to provide a wide range of Mobile Healthcare services and in-home medical procedures. All Mobile Healthcare services are performed within the existing clinical scope of practice of a North Carolina licensed Paramedic and are overseen by MedEx’s Medical Director.
